Simplehost Web Hosting

How do I login to FTP or SFTP?

To connect to Simplehost using FTP, you will require an FTP client.  There are many clients available.  FileZilla is a free client we recommend.

You can also use your Web browser as an FTP client by typing in the address bar: ftp://host.simplehost.co.nz

You will then be prompted for your username and password.

The host portion of the address will need to be replaced with the server your website is hosted on.  If unsure you can simply login to your My Account and get these details by clicking on the 'Server Settings' link.

Server Settings

FTP Server: host.simplehost.co.nz

FTP Port: 21

Note For Filezilla users: use the below settings for saving your simplehost connection in Site Manager

Server type: FTP

Logon type: Normal

Interested in using SFTP?

This is very similar to FTP, except using SSL encryption.  If you have SSH enabled on your account you can use it right now.  If you would like to use SFTP and do not have SSH enabled on your account pop in a support request and we will organise it for you.
